Four public days, after the previews

The fair’s general visiting dates are 12–15 November, noon–18:00. The earlier dates belong to VIP previews: 10 November, 14:00–18:30, and 11 November, noon–18:00. Gallery announcements often give the full 10–15 November range, so the distinction matters when planning an ordinary visit.

An art fair brings galleries and works for sale into a temporary exhibition setting. It offers a concentrated view of what participating galleries want to show now, alongside the possibility of discovering an artist through a single object. It is a different experience from following a museum’s collection or a retrospective across several rooms.

ShanghART: a Shanghai gallery’s presentation

ShanghART has announced Ding Yi, Yang Fudong, Sun Xun, Yu Youhan, Zhang Ding, Zhou Li and Dai Chenlian among its artists for the 2026 fair. Its booth is 1B03 at the West Bund International Convention and Exhibition Center, 7 Longyao Road.

That makes the gallery a useful point of reference for a visitor interested in contemporary Chinese art. The announcement names the artists; the final selection of works will give the presentation its shape. I would put this address early in the day because Kanata’s announced booth is in the same venue.

Kanata: wood, marble and ceramic

A Lighthouse called Kanata is at booth 1D07, also at 7 Longyao Road. Its published selection includes Joseph Walsh’s Enignum Forma Place II (2026), made from ash and Connemara marble, and Ken Mihara’s ceramic 響 XIX (2026).

The pairing gives the visit a material focus: wood and stone in one work, fired clay in another. The same presentation lists Saori Akutagawa (Madokoro)’s Red and Black (1963), bringing a painting made more than six decades earlier into the company of new objects. That is one pleasure of a fair: neighbouring works can make a comparison that a chronological museum display would separate.

The wider 2026 gallery roster includes Hauser & Wirth, White Cube, Perrotin and Ota Fine Arts. The organizer’s gallery list is the place to follow the full field as presentations develop.

The four addresses

West Bund International Convention and Exhibition Center · 西岸国际会展中心: 7 Longyao Road · 龙耀路7号. Both ShanghART and Kanata identify this venue for their announced booths.

West Bund Art Center · 西岸艺术中心: 2555 Longteng Avenue · 龙腾大道2555号.

GATE M Dream Center – M Factory · 西岸梦中心: No. 8, 2266 Longteng Avenue · 龙腾大道2266号8号.

ORBIT · 西岸穹顶艺术中心: 3299 Longteng Avenue · 龙腾大道3299号.

The four venues make the fair a district outing rather than a single front door. Leave time to move between addresses. Follow the organizer’s visitor page and official WeChat account, WestBundArtnDesign, for ticket releases, prices and access arrangements, including the venues covered by the ticket you buy.

Alongside the fair

The West Bund has permanent art destinations as well as the temporary fair. Long Museum, West Bund Museum and Power Station of Art have different collections, programmes and buildings. Their admission arrangements are separate from the fair; follow the individual museum guide if you want to combine a gallery day with a longer exhibition visit.
