A soundtrack becomes the main event

The proposition is straightforward: music usually heard through the game or its competitive events will become the subject of a live orchestral evening. For fans, the appeal lies in hearing familiar material occupy a different acoustic space, with instruments in the room rather than a soundtrack accompanying play.

Before The International

The July concert is a warm-up to The International 2026, Dota 2’s annual world championship, whose main event is scheduled for 20–23 August at the SPD Bank Oriental Sports Center in Pudong. That gives Shanghai two different kinds of Dota gathering in one summer, with different venues and separate admission arrangements.

The announcement has not yet supplied a complete running order, so individual pieces should not be assumed.

The July venue

Chapters of Immortality is scheduled for 11 July at Jaguar Shanghai Symphony Hall, 1380 Middle Fuxing Road, Xuhui (徐汇区复兴中路1380号). This is the Xuhui hall, distinct from the championship’s Pudong arena. Concert ticket prices and a start time are not included in the announcement. The tournament’s June ticket-sale information applies to The International, not to this concert.
