The independent-design centre
Feng Chen Wang, Susan Fang, Short Sentence, 8ON8, Jacques Wei, COMME MOI and XUZHI are among the names in the Xintiandi programme. Their presence makes Shanghai useful as a place to encounter Chinese design through the designers’ own presentations, with different labels appearing within one concentrated season.
HPLY will present the opening show, while EP Yaying closes the programme with a collection organised around contemporary Chinese aesthetics. From 25 March, Yaying will also present its AW2026 collection to buyers at MODE and its Shanghai city salon. Its public textile-art exhibition, opening 27 March, gives a separate point of contact with the brand’s materials.

Fashion enters everyday addresses
The public-facing calendar reaches beyond show invitations. Adidas Originals Open Haus is scheduled for 26–29 March on Yongfu Road, with the “Anfu” and “Changle” shoes among its subjects. A Fabrique × Vera Wang pop-up arrives at HKRI Taikoo Hui from 26 March. On 6 April, Shanghai Fashion Weekend brings events to the Yongyuan Road neighbourhood around everyday dressing, from commuting to travel and sport.
Meanwhile MODE opens 25 March at Crystal Bridge in Changning, forming part of the trade-show and showroom network. The industry programme has a different purpose from a shop or exhibition: buyers are making decisions about the following season, while the visitor may be meeting a designer’s work for the first time.
The calendar and access
The season begins 25 March 2026, with the Margiela exhibition and Shanghai Fashion Weekend extending activity through 6 April. Xintiandi (新天地), one of the principal areas, is around Lane 181 Taicang Road, Huangpu (黄浦区太仓路181弄); other events have their own addresses.
Runway shows and trade appointments have event-specific admission. Walking through Xintiandi does not provide access to every presentation. The official schedule is the guide to individual venues and booking conditions, particularly for temporary exhibitions and brand events.
